A. Hicks
Angela Hicks qualified as an acupuncturist in 1976. She is co-founder and joint principal of the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading, UK, where she teaches and is a clinical supervisor. Angela is also a practitioner of Chinese herbal medicine and regularly practices qigong. She is joint Chair of the Council of Heads for Acupuncture Courses (CHAC). Hicks has been in practice since 1976. She is Joint Principal of the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading, Berkshire, UK, which she co-founded in 1993. The College offers a BScC Honours degree in Acupuncture, which is validated by Kingston University. As well as teaching and supervising undergraduates, she has taught TCM to postgraduates since 1989 and co-developed a Clinical Integration course for practitioners wishing to integrate TCM and Five Element Acupuncture. She is also a practitioner of Chinese Herbal Medicine and practises qigong. For many years she practised ki aikido to the grade of 2nd Dan. She is also a master Practitioner of NLP and a Focusing Teacher. She originally studied Five Element Acupuncture at the College of Traditional Acupuncture UK and went on to study TCM in 1987 and completed study at the Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1988.
