Description

Siti Sukrisno talks about chronic pain in middle aged patients.
The trigger points are treated with Chinese Electro-acupuncture (EA).
She explains different pains, as nonciceptive pain, neck pain and neuropatic pain, which is pain from the nervous system.
Siti Sukrisno gives a definition of chronic pain and how to treat it with acupuncture, TDP lamp, moxibustion and cupping.
Sukrisno explains the etiology of Torticolis and which acupuncture points are helpful.
She shows case rapports of chronic neck/shoulder pains and how to treat them.
The difference between the Chinese Electro-acupuncture (EA) and the Manual Acupuncture (MA) is shown:
The EA is producing a twitching effect and change the microcirculation in a large area by using multiple needles simultaneously.
The MA can only use one single needle to produce a single twitching effect in one particular area. With the MA the needling sensation always exists when the twitching effect is produced. The EA produces the twitching effect without the needling sensation. Time management between EA and MA shows, that EA can work in a shorter time as MA, especially in multiple areas with musculoskeletal pain, like Fibromyalgia.
She also explains the cautions of EA, like pregnancy, anxiety at first time, epilepsy together with low blood pressure or anxiety, patients with pacemaker or with hungry people.
Siti Sukrisno gives also a short introduction into pulse and tongue diagnosis.
