Master Tung’s acupuncture which is also sometimes called I Ching Acupuncture or Balance Method. In English the Tung’s acupuncture of Wei Chieh Young show this topic perfect. This year a new edition of Henry McCann and H.G. Ross, Practical Atlas of Tung’s acupuncture. We also carry Whisnant’s books to Tung´s acupuncture which are more for the experienced therapists.
Master Tung was a well-known and very successful acupuncturist in Taiwan and Southeast Asia. He comes from a famous medical family. His therapeutic style has been handed down to the United States by several TCM therapists and has spread widely thanks to his excellent results. The Master Tung Acupuncture is a separate treatment system with its own points and a specific theoretical basis and approach. There are generally fewer points than needles in classical acupuncture. They are not comparable to the classic points. Most are needled 2 points in a row. One-sided symptoms require contralateral needle punching. The dots are painful to the touch and are usually near a bone. The needle is stimulated during the session. The Tung acupuncture is very easy to use and yet safe and effective. Your acupuncture points are called magic points because a large number of treatment cases have an immediate and lasting effect. Also Gua Sha and cupping techniques are included in the Tung acupuncture. Also unique is Master Tung’s classification of points according to body zones, to which different mechanisms of action and characteristics are assigned. Thus, points of the fingers, the hand and the head experience better in acute complaints and cause a faster recovery. In chronic and protracted discomfort often points of the leg (especially the thigh) better. This method is very well suited for patients who are afraid of needles, or very sensitive, since only a few acupuncture needles are used in Master Tung’s acupuncture.
